10 Unexpected Twin Stroller Tips

Best Twin Stroller For Newborns

If you're expecting twins or have two children that are close in age the double stroller is a must. The best strollers offer multiple ways for your kids to ride with you, including side-by-side seating as well as an attachment for a rider board.

The Bugaboo Donkey 5 Mono is Lauren Ro's favorite stroller. It adapts to your family's needs seamlessly. It can be used with two infant car seats, as well as an infant seat. This makes it an excellent choice for twins.

Bugaboo Donkey

This is the best twin stroller for families that want a stylish double side-by-side stroller. It is a bit larger than other Bugaboo strollers, but it feels solid and built to last. It has a movable handlebar that extends and retracts easily. It has a long reach so my husband, who is 6'1", can easily push it when fully laden.

Seats are spacious, and can be set up so that one child sits on top of the other or so that children are facing each one. The seats can recline independently of one other. The canopies cover both fabric seats should you wish to. They don't have much ventilation and can appear like an oven on hot days. There's no peek-a-boo window to see your children.

One of the most distinctive features of this stroller is its ability to grow with your family from one seat (Mono mode) to grow to a double side-by-side stroller. It is the only double stroller convertible to do this. It can be used with another bassinet or car seat for babies.

It is easy to use on smooth surfaces, and it is able to handle stairs and slopes with ease. The only drawback is that it could be difficult to navigate in the midst of crowded restaurants and shops. It is also a little difficult to fold, especially when the seats are attached. It's still small and can be accessed through the majority of doors.

There is an additional storage bin that can be tucked away on the frame next to the front seat in mono mode. This is great for groceries and other things. The main storage basket underneath the seats is huge and can accommodate up to 100 pounds. This is more than any stroller on our list!

Uppababy Vista v2

This stroller is one of the top twin strollers for newborns. It can be used with a variety of bassinets and infant car seats (adapters sold separately) and can be used as a double stroller right out of the box. It can even accommodate two infant car seats or bassets at the same time if you purchase the Vista Upper and Lower adapters.

The V2 is a more refined version of the original Vista. The toddler seat is now elevated by a half inch, the footrest has been made larger and the canopy has an extra fabric extension that zips out. The harness is also modernized in that it does not need to be re-threaded. This makes it easier to adjust.

The stroller is equipped with large wheels (8" in front and 11.5" in back) and a strong suspension system, which can take on any terrain. The rubber wheels on the front are great for navigating rocks and gravel and the tread on the rear wheels is more suitable for grassy hills or sidewalks.

A child's bicycle can be connected to the front of a stroller. This is a great choice for parents who don't want to invest in a baby car seat. If you have a child who is ready to stand and walk, the Vista can also accommodate an additional child with its piggyback ride along board.

Vista is a simple device to use. Vista is easy to use and set up, though it does take some time to remove all of the protective packaging. The instructions are easy to follow, and there is an YouTube video if you need assistance in understanding the instructions.

Thule Urban Glide 3

The Thule Urban Glide 3 is the newest version of this popular stroller that is designed to appeal to modern families who are a fan of style, sustainability, and adventure. It features exciting improvements like a built-in foot rest and an updated reclined seat that promises unmatched comfort for children during long jogging and walks. Its sleek, agile design also enhances its maneuverability.

It's extremely light, which makes it easy to push and quick to accelerate on the road. Its suspension can handle sudden changes in surface (such as grass to pavement) and the oversized tires provide enough traction for any terrain. It's able to climb kerbs and turn in tight spaces, like city streets. Even  double travel stroller  and parks with lots of people are not a problem.

The brand new Urban Glide 3 is a superior jogger that provides parents with plenty of comfort and ease. The large canopy offers excellent sun protection, has an easy peekaboo and a top-quality harness system and a handbrake that is perfectly adjusted. It offers plenty of storage space, including pockets on the seat as well as a huge cargo bag that can hold up to 15 lbs.

This Thule jogger comes with a bassinet for strolling infants, and a double version that can accommodate two children. It accepts car seat adapters so you can use the infant carrier of your child, and it comes with a one-handed fold to make it easy to transport or put away. It's also a green choice, as it uses dyed solution in its black color choices.

Cortina Together

Cortina Together is designed for families that are growing and offers parents the option of seating to accommodate the needs and preferences of each child. The two stroller seats of the double stroller come with reclining backrests, and canopies that are completely independent. The seats are also designed to take Chicco's KeyFit or KeyFit 30, the #1 baby car seat in both the front and rear seat. (Car seat sold separately).

A large, zipper-access basket at the rear provides ample storage space for the equipment. The handle is cushioned to allow for dad or mom. The tandem double stroller's wheels and suspension ensure a smooth ride on all types of terrain, and the one-touch rear brakes that are linked and have a toe-tap activation makes stopping easy.

In our Strollers & Multiples lab tests, Cortina Together scored well for its ease of use. This metric is based on how simple it is to set up and fold the stroller, adjust the safety harness as well as the snack tray, disengage and engage the brakes, lift and carry the folded stroller like you would put it into a trunk, and for compatible double strollers install and take off the infant car seat.

There are some downsides to this model, however. First, it's heavy. It weighs in at 36.6 pounds when fully loaded which is on the extreme end of our metric than the average for this category of strollers. It also is not able to see clearly in the back seat when the car seat is fitted. In addition the front tray release can be difficult to operate, particularly when used for a long time. Even with these limitations, we think this is a great double stroller that will be able to keep your family together for years to come.

Jeep Double Stroller

Jeep Destination Ultralight Side x Side Double Stroller - A lightweight, budget-friendly stroller that is ideal for families with two children. Its lock wheels on the front allow for smooth maneuverability on flat surfaces and lock to provide stability on bumpy surfaces. It comes with a compact folding umbrella that can be closed in just a few seconds. It also stands upright to make transporting it easier. Its aluminum frame is lightweight, and its foam handle and carrying strap makes it one of the easiest double strollers to lift during our tests.

This tandem stroller comes with reclined seats that can be independently adjusted for maximum comfort. The large canopy provides UPF 50 protection, and comes with a peekaboo view to make it easy for monitoring. We would like to have the canopy vented for more airflow. We didn't like the fact that the cup holder is extremely high on the frame. You'll have to bend down to reach it.

In our tipping-test it was found that the Jeep fell over at a 39 degree angle, which is higher than the average for double prams. It's a bit heavier however, it has more storage for the price. The seats and handle are also well-padded.

This stroller is multi-functional and offers three modes. It can be used as a walker (for things) or jogger mode (with two safety belts with five points for kids), or car seat mode. It can be used with one car seat for infants, however, pediatricians suggest waiting until your child is six months old before running with them. They should also be 1 year old before taking them on rough terrain. It is available in black and comes with a limited warranty.
